Yeah, something cool that could actually happen is for shin to use his power on them 1 by 1.
Even if they are too strong to be really controlled, because they re assassin, he could probably force them to emit a short but powerful bloodlust against the old man (it should be natural for them, they are used to it) without even forcing them to move or anything.
The old man will cut them by instinct as usual.
