I feel like Mariko has no boundaries. Was it okay when she was younger to try and get the home address of people who don't want to talk to you? It's my one main issue in this series but her lack of boundaries also seems to propel the plot entirely
somehow, I'm conflicted on how I feel about this series
In this case, she pretty much just followed her out of the bar, no? She couldn't have been sure it was specifically to her house. And she probably wouldn't have gone inside if she hadn't heard a loud crash.
I think Mariko fits the mold of a pushy, desperate, passionate editor pretty well. That said, if she actually gets the chance to give her pitch and is turned down, she probably won't keep following her (or anyone else) around. She seems to have been mostly visiting her former peers in this chapter. It isn't as if they had an office phone or secretary to call. She had no choice but to go to their homes.
Her lack of boundaries is refreshing because she refuses to give up. In a different situation, it could come across as deeply obnoxious, but I think it works for her character. For now, anyway.
