thanks , lol this style is so simplistic /cute, wonder if there's been merch like tote bags/hanker chiefs with the bear graphic made

or a cosplay of the main girl

lol i know it's a proper word/another alternative to like saying "scarf" or so but it just makes me think 'steal', though might need a clarification versus just using something like 'shawl' in the future

I double checked the og Japanese when I was typesetting and it uses the loan word "stole" exactly.
I usually only try to clarify confusion when there's a cultural or lost-in-translation scenario to be honest.
The author does retweet drawings and posts some art on their page on twitter, check it out! (Not sure about merch tho, sorry):meguu:

I think "stole" is a very fitting word, English happen to converge their spelling and give the same word different meanings.
"stola, stol" or stolē from Latin, Old-Middle English is the term for "robe, vestment"
stōl, the past tense of steal (stēl) comes from Old English stelan
English completely omits diacritic - the lines added to letters to differentiate pronunciation. How English words are pronounced can be regional, like "caramel" (ˈkärməl, ˈkerəməl, ˈkerəˌmel)
I think you did a wonderful job translator!!

And as far as merchandising goes, there is no official merchandise as of yet. They have release a physical (untranslated) copy of volume 1 of this series. And it appears during an interview, they had these hand fans. From appearances alone, I don't think it's printed but papercraft (gluing and layering different strips of paper, with drawn on details).

Thanks for the chapter translation.

I also really like the idea about sentient cotton being given form, and you could treat it like you would a pet.

Also, the manager being scary despite being a cute bear is pretty amusing. :dogkek:

That's fine, tho i guess it would be good to include notes if it's an uncommon term ppl who aren't in the fashion/knitting/etc industry to use (tho i wonder if the author's invented new stuff as opposed to "common Japanese method to remove stains but in space" lol) but at least it was google-able
