Please, create some sort of system where a real person has to approve a new group being formed.
There's been several cases recently and in the past of people grudge uploading official chapters of popular manwha's official western releases and then reporting it in an attempt to make Mangadex look bad.
If there was some step between submitting an application for creating a group, getting approved by staff, and then being able to upload, this wouldn't happen.

The application could include some kind of information that verifies they're actually scanlators and not just ripping chapters off official sites, and along with personal information related to their group, like emails, twitters, discords, and so on. If any of it seems fake or forged on the spot to get in, staffs job would be to check this. If they give real info, then you can use that to pressure them to not abuse and break Mangadexes uploading policies. How you do this is something that could be decided later, but there really needs to be a way beyond simply banning them.

So. Something like this could probably help protect Mangadex from trouble with webnovel sites and stuff. Not specifically like this, but just something involving actual vetting. Just an idea.

There would be a huge, absolutely massive amount involved in this I'd say. And then at the end there's still the question: what about sole scanlators who aren't aren't part of a group? Or what about original artists?
If it becomes a hassle to post things here then the site loses its purpose. And if there's a way around that which is just a minor hassle, the people it's likely to filter out are not those wanting to intentionally draw negative attention to the platform. Having to have real people do the work would also open up another avenue for people to hurt the site (by sending in hundreds of unique but spam applications).

And unfortunately, no matter how neatly it's dressed up, Mangadex is effectively a platform for the mostly illegal distribution of manga/manhua/manhwa. There's no way around that when it comes down to it. Ultimately the scope of the problem couldn't possibly match up to the work involved.
