Unlikely anyone will see this but I checked the last chapters raws.

MC gets kidnapped by a gang, some dude with a bowl haircut was with them and he and MC go way back.
MC had information that he shouldn't have, tried to make some deal with them but failed and was shot, he had ingested the card with the info seemengly believing they wouldn't have killed him for some reason, they shot him dead and open his stomach, yes, the serie MC is VERY dead, and that is before the last chapter.
The last chapter have bowlcut leaving a car with a politician like guy he to have a relationship with, when walking a walkway with fans and journalist he surprised from the lack of reaction, everyone is looking at their phones with a video of the guy killing MC and other criminal stuff he did, MC gave his life to have the proof he needed to reveal their criminal life, note that bowlcut is the one that opened MC with a knife.
Feel like MC could have avoided it but I'm guessing the serie was axed and the author wanted a stupid asian drama ending with the MC sacrifice because it had more impact.
Bowlcut is seen running away crying.
There was some flashback and it seems like he and MC were both sold to the politician, bowlcut realized he had to become a slave to survive and became subservient on the spot, he was happy of thinking of it super fast, he broke himself to avoid getting broken.
Given MC activities is possible that his death was even the author way to make him atone, even if he always wanetd to reveal the corruption what he did remais bad.
A girl with long hair is seen starting a suicide attempt as MC died, she sees fireworks going off from the roof she is on, last image is her shoes on top of some photos of happy memories.
She had shoes when the the fireworks started so is on the reader to decide if she did it or not.
