That opening and closing page was kinda funny. Happy Chigarashi, and bunny girl Chigarashi! Then in between, Chigarashi soaked in blood and traumatized.

I guess now we know why nobody seems to care about the supernatural deaths though. They're always covered up with a gag order. So the victims are just declared missing.

We now have the seeds of a battle between Makube, Yaema, and Kizaki. Why does Kizaki intend to bring forth the apocalypse? What happened in the Nimura Seminar? Those 3 all looked so happy and different, yet now their personalities seemed to have completely changed. Makube is depressed, Yaema is an influencer, and Kizaki is a doomsday bringer.

Most of main story is already done anyway. Author can make it longer, but if sales bad it's better to just finish this.
5-6 vols for a horror manga is already very good.

Well, they didn't sweep last chapter's events under the rug like they usually do unlike my expectations, but they literally just let a guy who killed 13 people go with a slap on the hand so that's dumb as usual.

The fact that occult specialist trio Makube, Yaema and Kizaki are former college classmates really reminds me of Oshino, Kagenui and Kaiki from the Monogatari series. They're also supernatural specialists AND former college classmates - Makube is kind of like the chill Oshino, Yaema is a dangerous, ruthless woman like Kagenui is and Kizaki is the one guy that went bad like Kaiki did.

Now Chigarashi who dives headfirst into occult phenomena seems like a genderbent Araragi minus the vampiric powers (unfortunately leaving her helpless and ill-equipped to deal with her situations unlike him), and all the protagonist rizz goes to ghosts instead of harem candidates. Her thirst for hot guys kinda checks out with Araragi's perverted tendencies. Sucks for her there isn't a genderbent Senjougahara to be her bf in this story though.

This arc somehow has this final arc feeling. Combined with the news that this was transferred to web publication from paper publishing really doesn't bode well for the future of this series.
