I’m looking for romance manga, manhwa, or webtoons that fit a particular vibe. I’d love your recommendations!
What I’m Looking For:


- Happy Ending: A completed story where the main characters end up together and have a fulfilling relationship by the end.
- Ongoing Stories: I’m also open to ongoing works, as long as they align with what I’m looking for.

• Setting: School or university.
• Female Lead Focus: A story where the female lead is the main character.
• Engaging Plot: Short or long, I just want a good story with well-written characters and meaningful development.
• Genre: Strictly romance. I’m not looking for harems, fantasy, ecchi, or BL.

Really Important:
I like it if she’s misunderstood, disliked, or bullied, and the male lead is supportive or protective of her.


What I’ve Enjoyed recently:

The Dawn to Come: I love the art and the emotionally deep story. The characters feel so genuine!
Operation: True Love: The dynamics between the characters and the plot’s emotional beats are fantastic. But the Love Trianlge became really annoying.
Bloom Into You: A beautifully written and heartfelt romance that sticks with you.

Heartfelt romances set in school... Kaguya-sama Love is War is one, the rest I can think of are all Yuri. Rainbows after storms, My fav, This one's funny, Super cute, and This one's finished.
Edit: These are all on a list of mine if you're interested. I also recommend looking at solstice285's list. Romcoms are the best.

I don't read many stories like that but here's some that might fit the bill (I read them a long time ago so I forgot most of the details lol)

-Machida-kun no Sekai (the only complete one in this list)
-Replica datte koi wo suru
-Hello Innocent
-Yamato wa koi no mahoroba (university)
-Marielle Clarac no Konyaku (historical, not school)

I think Kimi ni Todoke fite the bill! The female MC starts out misunderstood, disliked, and bullied because of her name and appearance. However, the male MC is supportive from the beginning, and she develops greatly by making friends and getting into a romance. It's set in high school.

This is an award-winning shoujo manga that I highly recommend. The supporting characters are amazing and undergo significant development too.

The downside is that you won't be able to read it on MangaDex.
