Honestly as an avid SCP fan I was a bit hesitant at first, because the early chapters felt like they were just adapting SCPs into more generic horror stories and losing the writing charm of SCPs, but I think I'm starting to see the start of something intriguing. This is probably one of the more professionally produced pieces of SCP media out there, and I'm really hoping it'll represent SCPs well.

Questions about chp 5

1. The editor wanted the 2 mangaka to get a feeling of the atmosphere of the "tale" they were meant to adapt, that's why she didn't gave em a name/storyboard to work with, this way they get to adapt something more authentic, since a tale doesn't follows the clinical report format of a SCP, which is something they have been avoiding from chp 1 anyways

2. In the stories they adapt the Foundation doesn't exist, but that doesn't means that each story they adapt is interconnected, the first 2 and 4th stories were converted into urban legends, they could have served as witness reports or interview addendums on a SCP report, but since the SCP doesn't exist in there, there's no information to how those stories got told around, while the 3rd one was converted into a creepy pasta spread around by the audience that followed the streamers

So just like how there's no information about how ghost stories spread around when there are no survivors, there's also no information to how the editor/author got her hands on both a police report and evidence for a dead case

3. Just like the talking bug, it could just be a freed SCP

2. It is Pear the editor, they all follow the same format and style, even withing the known and true format of a ghost story, so that rules out different authors submitting different names or... Q4

3. He is a college student, at that age we are all weirdos really, unless he is an agent monitoring M

Well if humanity is an SCP (5000)... so do you think that M-kun is an SCP that can contain other SCPs by making manga storyboards about them? if he turns them into a story for a manga they are contained into the world of the story, and as thus the foundation has send H and the editor to keep tabs on him, and make sure he keeps adapting SCPs into manga to keep them contained, and that he is the one behind the storyboards, that's why they have no author, why the stories sound familiar to him, why he can't remember anything about them, why he keeps blacking out, and why so far H is the one drawing all the SCP stories from the names?

I mean sure, but if that's the case i would like some more blatant hints about this being the case, at this rate i would be kind of dissapointed and feel like the twist came in at random

5. For $$$$$, well in chp 1 they explain that it would be better if someone with no knowledge about it is the one making the tutorial, but if we follow Q4, it could be to have M-kun read about SCPs to turn into names and contain without him knowing about his powers

6. For $$$$$, it is easier for a reader to get immersed into something new if it can be presented by enveloping it in something familiar, hence the SCPs being adapted into regular ghost stories and creepy pasta, call it bastardization or simplification, accessibility is important when making a commercial work, but if we follow Q4 it is to avoid the Foundation itself ending being contained in the names, that way they avoid a K-class scenario in which the foundation stops functioning

8. They don't exist as far as they are concerned, same as it is for us, SCPs are products of collaborative writings, or following Q4, they exist and M-kun is containing them by making manga storyboards about em

12. The implication is that M-kun is still under the memetic effects of reading SCP-0001 and being monitored, maybe he managed to read the real SCP-0001, thus he keeps blacking out whenever he tries to recall a SCP

13. They explained that they were adapting SCP-173 as a creepypasta to take advantage of the SCP format and guideliness not being stablished back when it was published

But if we assume that M-kun is an SCP that can contain other SCPs (another hint to this is that they have gone out of their way to not explain the Object Class Categories assigned to the SCPs, this means that M-kun could be either a Thaumiel SCP, an SCP that can contain other SCPs, and needs to be contained itself, and part of the containment procedure involves the use of amnesiacs, memetic agents, and constant monitoring) by transforming them into stories, then yeah, in theory it would be possible for him to find the video that Emiri took, find the Station that has SCP-192-JP or one of its tickets, find Emiri herself at a hospital, find the vending machine of the infinity stair case, etc

14. It is just M asking his editor if the previous name arrived safelly, hence she assures him to not worry about it, but...

Her reaction may also hint at M being the one behind the makings of these names (based on his knowledge obtained from reading the SCP wiki), and not the Editor herself, if M is the source of the storyboards, there's no need for him to send them back, or for him to wait for new ones to be delivered to his house, hence his question would be a weird thing to ask

Wow, I wasn't expecting anyone to respond. I liked your answers so much that I don’t even know how to comment on them. All I can say is that I appreciate your effort.

The translator notes at the end really add to my enjoyment of this manga. Thanks for the great work so far!
