It's very natural to not know absolutely every chemical reaction that goes on in cooking. Most of the time you just need to know what the result is going to be, and how things affects it.
I do like that there are things she doesn't know about, and that she occasionally forgets what she was doing. Makes her seem less like some magical all-knowing wonder character.
The Bakarina amount of magic: Earth Bump.
Puts some butter on it. Bites where there's no butter. I don't think that's how buttering bread is supposed to work.
