Looking at the drawings, it's obvious Lyott blew himself up. Yet later in the chapter he's just walking around as if nothing happened. How on Earth or why on Earth would anyone anymore try to "save" such a monster? He's not anything like a human anymore. He's just a construct the demon sword can recreate as long as it has the mana required. There's nothing to save anymore. The man Lyott is long gone, including his very body. It's just stupid hubris to think he could be saved.
