@cryum Considering what happened in the prologue chapter at the end of vol 2 (assuming that was the last demon lord), it at least looked like it was a suicide mission. He did have the choice of facing against the hero with a large demon army, but didn't. It's possible I mistranslated the line where he mentions not raising a bunch of demons - it might be that he couldn't - but it still stands that he said "勇者のあの変な力誰も敵わんだろ".

@Redice This is also possible. The fact that not even creepy loli perv doll doesn't remember anything leaves the possibility open since he can't actually vouch for the last demon lord actually dying. Though it's possible any of the other sentient demons did witness the Demon Lord's death - like Mina.

Honestly I'd be fine with any happy end with Alsha and Mao and Nikkka and etc. ending up as one happy family. But who knows?

It occurs to me that if the hero always has this like special power to crush demons and similar magical opposition, but the demon lord's magic power can make money out of thin air, it might be worth a try hiring a bunch of non-magical human mercenaries to take him out. Well, if she didn't think of him like a little brother.

The fight between Demon Lord and Hero is repetitive cycle necessary for this "ant farm" to continue, but think it glitched out somehow as it took 300 years for next Demon Lord to "respawn".

Mao should read a book "Who is this God Person Anyway?" by Oolon Colluphid, it's a third installment but should provide necessary info ; )

Skeleton Puppet was firstly a very simple toy, lacking intelligence made by a Loli Demon Lord, then a Living China Government Demon Lord infused it with just a recording ability.

Seems like the last Demon Lord who probably was a vampire, actually cared about Fibenette the sub yandare in some way, sent her off before upcoming end, since demons nearby would be annihilated along with him. This also applied to Skeleton Puppet, turning it into stone.

Seems like that surveillance Demon Lord was up to something, found a glitch perhaps and foreseen Mao amnesia...

Looks like Mao is trying do the same as Vampire Demon Lord, keeping Nikka away from inevitable : (
