that is a BIG point to be brought up. Story kinda went against itself.
unless it can steal Summoned Beasts AND enslave those you have sex with while they are wearing it. Wonder what was the original function and which was found out afterwards

I mean, to be fair, the collar was in the possession of that pervy priest guy. I wouldn't be surprised if "enslaves those who have sex while wearing it" is part of it's basic functionality, along with the mind control aspect. It might be something designed for stealing summoned beasts, and then modified to serve as a sex slave collar while just so happening to retain its summoned beast properties (which comes in handy for this particular, unforeseen use case).

Now he's finally no longer a damsel-in-distress, some semblance of agency has been restored.

Heuberger got off easy (unless Kouta castrated him), but Kouta shouldn't have stopped Emma from killing her would-be rapist. Killing him is still a consequence that she has to deal with, that directly results from her decisions. Leaving a devout believer like her with the memory of killing someone seems like a halfway decent price to pay for her betrayal... but he shielded her from consequences of her own actions.

I hate these "Oh we can't kill the villains no matter how evil they are or the crimes they've committed" MC's. It just makes them look weak and stupid. Now i'm not saying they should go on a killing spree, but if this MC wasn't such a goody goody moron, he wouldn't be in this situation. I mean, how dumb was it of him to let Emma hang out with a manipulative bitch who has charm magic and then just out right trust her to lead him to a secluded place without some sorta back up.
