Yes, it's pretty pathetic. The "problem" being that in the modern day sexual promiscuity is championed, so people that engage in it think that if you are not having tons of casual sex and ruining your pair bonding it is "weird" and "abnormal". Just more "what's natural and good is BAD, and what's bad is GOOD."
It reminds me of drug addicts who say dumb crap like "what do straight edge people even do all day/for fun lol". Fitting, actually, since they're just addicts for sex instead.
The concept of just not succumbing to every single impulse in one's brain and to every societal pressure is foreign to addicts.
