If one ranger wasn't needed because of the new weapon, he coulda just stopped doing it with pink. But there he will keep telling you :
"no you don't understand, it's for justice. Cheating on my wife and killing a team member to keep it a secret is just for justice. It's not like I like doing it or anything!"

That's the plot point, Red already was broke inside, the team starting to crack was the last straw and pink solution being something easy to solve, he just took the idea all is for revenge against the kaijin, also if wasn't pink, green also was a bad day from a domestic violence incident...she's next isn't it?

Also new girl is from USA/English speaking nation it seems
