My random drunk theory is that the flashes to "her male self" she sees in her schizo-like moments is, that she may have already gotten raped in the past, and the shock fucked up her mind.so was she not actually raped?
The other theory is that he WAS a man afterall, raped a girl, and then switched places with his own victim.
Kind of too late for that after she tazed the dude and tried to rape him while he was knocked out last chap.MC has been on one, but let’s keep her somewhat sympathetic.
Been thinking all of the above from the start, honestly. My random drunk theory is that the flashes to "her male self" she sees in her schizo-like moments is, that she may have already gotten raped in the past, and the shock fucked up her mind.
She may be somehow deluding herself into thinking her rapist is her past self.
Perhaps her obsession with sex is some odd projection of that.
the last paragraph press x to doubt.Been thinking all of the above from the start, honestly.
Rape is a horrific act to inflict on someone and a common thread in the stories of survivors is a sense of derealization. Of either emotionally shrinking into your own body or projecting it outwards. Anything to create a distance from what's happening to you.
Incidentally, a common form of therapy is finding it in yourself to revisit that place on your own terms. In fact many of the people I'd encountered online who are into lol*con stuff were survivors. Just... don't revisit it the way Ayano seems to be trying to.
First of all, I love your username. Brilliant, no notes.the last paragraph press x to doubt.

i don't think that's how it is. every time she sees his old self in this manga, it's only on the topic of being friends with others, or being happy with others. (especially the flashback at her birthday wouldn't sit right with either of those theories) probably what's happening is, he had friends but due to some reasons they started hating him, and he started viewing himself negatively. My random drunk theory is that the flashes to "her male self" she sees in her schizo-like moments is, that she may have already gotten raped in the past, and the shock fucked up her mind.

in the dream at the beginning of the chapter, it was probably something in the lines of herself trying to tell himself that he doesn't need to stay suck in the past. he was his old self stuck in the darkness inside the classroom, almost as if saying that something had happened in his school years and he never got over it, and his new self is trying to tell him something. (look at the zooming in the mouth in the third page) also light got in the room when his new self entered. since it is a dream it symbolizes, that. besides her family is the same as before becoming a girl, and as i said, the flashback with her birthday wouldn't make since if she is just traumatized and thinking she was a man.
