The founder of the family was just the biggest guy in the area, he bulldozed forests with his bare hands, to clear the land the family would govern in later generations. So yeah, a lot of that "when I was a toddler I was already pushing over sequoias and by your age I was plowing rocky mountains flat!" type nonsense. Just because it was true doesn't mean he isn't shit for expecting it from a descendant this far removed from his life experience.Isn’t the 1st kinda shit, he doesn’t do shit except backseat.
This chapter is quite literally Lyle at his lowest and pretty much the moment before the turning point. After this Zelphy takes him on his first job and he proves himself and leaves the first speechless. It's all uphill from here. Too bad it takes so long to get there thoughNever really liked the ancestors. All they've done so far is nag with very little helpful advice and drain his mana with their incessant bickering. But I tolerated it because I agree that Lyle is pathetic and needs to shape up, but this has gotten repetitive real fast and started treading into just watching Lyle be psychologically harassed by the voices in his head for every little thing, like a shitty useless(so far) Luxion.
Will this change anytime soon? Should I put the manga on hold and maybe skim the novel until the situation changes?
God I hope you're right, cuz rn these bitches been nothin but a nuisance lolThis chapter is quite literally Lyle at his lowest and pretty much the moment before the turning point. Thanks, buddy. I was dreading having to skim a bunch of chapters of the same nonsense before we got to the actual character development due to Japan's boner for self-flagellation. If things will turn around soon then the pacing is just about right for disabusing Lyle of his useless pride and naivete so he can rebuild himself as a better man. This chapter is quite literally Lyle at his lowest and pretty much the moment before the turning point.
