Imo while I understand his sentiment, that is incredibly selfish and self serving and only hurts his daughter. Sure you won’t have to suffer through burying your own daughter but then what? You daughter only has so long left to live and you’re going to make her final few years that much worse by forcing her to live with the grief of losing her father?
