MC had spent the timing recovering on the bed in her space. Apparently had a bed installed in her office of the clinic due to sleeping over often enough to need it. Due to convalescing she wasn't strong enough to get much food hence why she's so hungry after being gone for five days. As for the three servants being so severely punished it's partially due to servants' lives being close to that of a slaves in that the master can punish them however they want, pay is whatever master feels like giving them if anything as no minimum wage set in those times, can be cast out on street to starve to death at any time, and under certain circumstances can apply to be released to take up work somewhere else although if fired and blacklisted even on a whim will have to travel far outside former master's influence to be able to get work again or starve. Hence, between that and 9th prince's temper and allowed to do anything those three could be considered lucky only to be threatened to take an arm off instead of being tortured to death for failing to obey his orders. Likely hasn't already done so only because the trauma and pain could hamper their search for MC.
LN explains about her experiments in the space. Basics are she'll appear just inside the front door by default unless wills otherwise. Will return to same spot as long as returns to place in front of front door. However, if she doesn't return to the spot by the front door before heading back she'll appear at a spot the same distance and height traveled in her space. So if facing North and goes 10 paces forward in space before returning she'll reappear 10 paces from the spot she entered from. If faces West and goes forward 10 paces, up one story and then returns she'll reappear ten paces West and one story up from the spot enter from. If faces East, goes 10 paces, up stairs, around room before returning to spot before front door she'll reappear exactly where left.
While in space can see and hear a small area around where entered from similar to how can see into space without entering it. Can also act on things around spot entered space from without leaving the space. During Maquiss attempt to frame her for sleeping around the first is how she left the locked room and entered the one next door where sister was changing and the second is how was able to push the Marquiss into bath without being seen.
