Spiking the drink is fucked up but the lady killed mc like 3 times because she was green with envy.

She got addicted to paying for love and approval and then when it was taken away from her she decided to kill the person she envied for being loved and approved of.

The fact that mc didn't go the I'll just have to kill her first route is proof that mc is becoming an okayer person. Not great, but okay enough for now. Spiking the drink was a form of life insurance for the mc.

Nah, let's say her fate is interwined by several strings, she avoid the guillotine string which is caused by Emile and the 2 maids, thus after she avoid the guillotine string, then her saved point is moved to different time

Well, considering she killed the protagonist three times, lacing her drink with opium wasn't a big deal. Especially when you consider that she was going to be killed again if she failed. Under other circumstances, the protagonist might have chosen to kill her first. She has the power to do so, but she decided to give her a good time. For a villain like her, she behaved better than usual.

Anyway, I have a strong feeling that this manga might get an anime adaptation in the future. The story is engaging and fun.

Opium is not an aphrodisiac in any way, its the opposite of one. Unsure if it was the author's intention but for me made the whole scene more ridiculous (and effective), with Marie deluding herself into thinking the drugs are seducing Yuuki when its all Marie and the prince outfit. Yuuki is lucid, awake, and aware throughout the whole seduction (not that excuses Marie's scum behavior) which lends support to the theory that the potion didn't do much of anything. Would tie in with the larger comedic conflict of Marie's continued denial of her homosexuality as she does more and more extremely gay stuff like opening a lesbian brothel and falling in love with her female childhood friend.

Ya, literally this.

that whole drug part felt more like a "haha im not gay or even good at this I just want to save my skin". Remember folks, Marie had a lot of ways to solve it, and the rest of them did not include gay sex. She purposefully made it about gay sex, and gave her friend a earth-shattering orgasm because she cares about all her lovers in her own little evil gay way.
