but i do still think he said the safe word because he was overwhelmed
God this is the chapter that finally solidified this as yet another toxic femdom "romance" manga. I was holding out hope that it could at least be somewhere in the middle, but not anymore. I hope some of yall understand what's wrong here.
She manipulates him into having a "final session," further playing with his feelings, threatening abandonment. They decide on a safe word and she explicitly discourages him to use it because if he did that would end their relationship. I can't even begin to explain how toxic that is. Then she goes for breathplay, blocking his mouth so he cant even say his safe word.
As a porn scene, this can be ok. But as even a slightly grounded, realistic bdsm scene and especially as a bdsm romance story, this is absolute dogshit.
I swear femdom romance is cursed to never be healthy and balanced. I know it may seem like I've been crashing out in the comments for these chapters, but it's just wild to me that this happens every time and that people just seem to find no issue with it. They will focus on the male lead doing things wrong or right, like in every other romance story. It's just absurd to me. Like how can you talk about his "ulterior motive" of wanting to clear up his feelings with her, as if that was some sin? When she did this? Yikes.
