Might be my new favorite work from Kumeta Kouji. A great cast of voices young and old, it feels like it satirizes Japanese culture and conventions in a way that's approachable to foreign readers. The trendy town of Shibuya is not exempt from a child's sensibilities poking holes through the fallible logic of adult life. The art is also an unexpected treat, as full body shots of characters act as paneling for the rest of the page. Tropes like the rich girl and aloof boy don't grate on you at all as they offer unique perspectives on the daily debate.
