Seigen is a personification of survival, holy hell! I wonder though, how did he perfect this technique over the years (until Tadanaga's tournament). I doubt he's slicing his foot in half every time he fights - unless of course, his next fight with Gennosuke is going to be his last with no in-between.

I guess the legendary status he's received after dismantling the whole kogan-ryu WOULD be enough to guarantee his place in the tournament too, even if he's never fought again after this chapter.
