Oh, I guess we (for now at least) skipped the development for Genno. We might get back to it, as we did with Iraku's story post losing his eyes.
It's a sad way to go - Yukichiyo's, I mean. Guess I shouldn't have expected much with just 30 more chapters to go, right? Nonetheless, it was not Genno's fault that he survived despite his injuries and - if Gozan did not spread all the gore, which covered Genno - he would've died on that day.
It's still sad to see Genno and Mie living like that, brought down to the level Iraku rose from. I doubt Iraku was so hated though, so one could argue they have it worse... but for a shorter period of time.
