Okay, so the blonde girl is a magic-user and carries a magic staff in battle. Makes perfect sense. The question is, why is catgirl going in unarmed? Is she just there for the eye candy? Shouldn't she have, at least, transformed and torn the goblins with her claws?
Normally, by the time they get to wear that not-quite-there armor, they should be stronger than the female knight. The less armor, the more powerful an adventurer, right?

What rank was that guy anyway? How did he managed to get to that rank if he didn't even have presence of mind to do a proper retreat?

Like I know the other group is a bunch of asses but why did MC and his partner just stand there and do nothing? I mean if nothing else the enemy literally showed their back to the MC.
He could've easily attacked or intervened at any point. Heck why didn't either of the women that got kidnapped attack their kidnappers at all?

@flannan: Answer is simply.
Unlike the Knight Girl, those two girls aren't really powerful and use their body to woo powerful looking Adventurers for easy Quest completion and Rank-Up.
They purely went in for this Quest thinking they had to fight weak Goblins and that Guy was strong enough to handle them without their help.

@Lioslin: Because the other group had previously said not to interfere. So, unless MC was sure that the Guy can't handle the situation, he didn't act. Also, MC and Knight Girl were further behind that Guy's group and were partially blocked by the Cursed Mist.

As for why those two girls didn't fight back, well that's because they are weak and aren't really the class to work in a small cave (one is a Mage/Witch, while the Cat girl seems to an Archer based on the weapon she was carrying in Ch21).
