I don’t get what does he gain by hiding the fact that he is the hero, or the fact that he was betrayed by the other heros, I sometimes wonder if authors have any common sense when they do stuff like this, theirs literally nothing he loses by saying he was the former darkness hero

I fully expected the Weapon hero to either die or turn out to be the mastermind.
