That was probably the worst example of erotic comedy: the comedy is just an excuse for the erotica, but the erotica is castrated by the Japanese censorship.
Good examples would be instead "Ueno-san" or "Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!", where the characters don't hide behind the pretense, but the outcome is hilarious...
