Its probably best things didnt go back to how they were the first chapter (speaking on how the simulation works)
The fact that the train allows them to still be able to see others even in their own isolated spaces, it somehow makes it easier to understand others like that than if you were just assimilated like how the previous universe was, probably because then it wouldn't be understanding eachother but understanding it all, since you'd just assimilate
Now they're separate but together, different from when you mix two colors of clay to make one, you have used the both of them as their own parts in order to form something bigger while maintaining their own self
