notes from someone who didn't translate this but knows a bit more
the girl, translated her name as Plo, isn't her name in Japanese. It's Meka, which, by rearranging the characters, will get you Kame, turtle, which ties into the Urashima Taro theme. Strange how they didn't edit the text to fix it, it clearly says Meka, but that choice is beyond me as to why they would do it. Makes sense as how Rota (Taro) says "upside down", which is taken a bit too literal given the name change but whatever.
