I trashed the manga when it was getting translated years ago because of the offputting and in my opinion, awkward timing fan service (good fap fuel to some at least), but I guess the bonobo effect was too strong for me, heh and also the dumb looking clothing. The manga has a better and detailed final arc compared to the anime for sure. After finally taking time to read this(its a short series anyway) I can say this is worth the read. The novel too is translated fully for some time now and if youre interested in reading them, just google shinsekai cadet-nine.I didnt finish them myself so I dont know the difference between the anime/manga and the novel.
Also,nice looking tiddies/10.

While the manga has too much unnecessary fanservice compared to the anime, I still suggest to read it. There are some plot points which are better explored. I dunno about the novel, but I believe that the manga's ending is better compared to the anime.
That dream of Saki about seeing her friends again was sweet to say the least.

Not a big fan of the story. But the yuri scene on
chapter 4
was hot.

Is there more yuri in that than the random sex scene in
Chapter 4
? Because if it's the case i don't think tagging it Yuri is good considering
right in the chapter after, Saki said Shun is the love she love and end up marrying him
. The tag seem REALLY misleading to me and bait people who think it's actually Yuri.

@Lilliwyt There are at least two more smiliar scenes and it's kind of part of the plot

even though it may not be what people are looking for when searching for yuri. On that note: I really think an ecchi tag would be appropriate.

What is this shit?! I don't even have words to describe how utterly bad is this manga in comparison to original book and anime. There is not a single good thing about it besides art.
If you want to experience Shin Sekai Yori do yourself a HUGE favor and watch anime and\or read the book if you want more details and full picture of the world. After this you could read this trash if you want.

I read the novel and watch the anime. Book is good and anime creators did excellent job transferred the plot with all its dark, desperate atmosphere and twists as well as the characters, who act and think like real people from book into anime. But this manga is just total trainwreck. Well, the art is good and there are yuri sex, the rest is beyond awful. The plot and characters changed in a worst way possible, It's just like take good sci-fi book and adapt it for kindergarten. All characters: main, side and even background, reduced to some cardboard cliche heroes of some bad battle shounen, with absolute unreasonable and illogical behavior, who clenched their fists, making stern faces, screaming some nonsense and run towards danger, or throwing a fit and crying non stop. Altered plot is full of shounen cliches, convoluted and oversimplified while trying to maintain some original turns, as result it turns into absolute unreadable mess. Just burn this shit and watch anime!

I disagree with the negative comments.
This manga have the original author thumb up of approval. Is a different take from the anime. But still a very interesting manga.

T'was a good read. The mangaka had his work cut out for him, not only did he have to adapt a pretty good book series, but also make it different from the anime.
The fanservice and battle shonen panels aid in setting this adaptation apart from the faithful anime adaptation.
The fanservice wouldnt have felt out of place if some yaoi was added in along with the yuri.

Can someone answer one question for me?

Is there romance in it? Or in the anime?

I saw someone post an image from the anime where there’s a romance scene so

Well, to b perfectly honest, EXCLUDING the fanservice moments.....

The manga is good, ESPECIALLY Maria’s and Mamoru’s characters are soo different from the manga (not physically i meant). I would say that it’s really good.
Like in the anime, they made Mamoru that cowardly character and damn how I really hate him in the anime. And Maria is more cowardly compared to the Maria in the anime. Its like their roles r switched. So yeah i like the Mamoru here, Maria... i still like the anime ver.
Yo and I very much like the fact that Maria’s and Saki’s feelings for each other were depicted clearly, I can really feel that their feelings for each other were genuine. In the anime, it felt somewhat fake.

I HATE THE PACING THO. like bro why did
Shun have to die early
and some other stuff.

Well, IN CONCLUSION, I would say watching the anime is very much recommended than reading the manga.

Edit: k, I take it back. There’s too much fanservice, and most of the time they act like an ape in heat. The anime is more decent.

This manga is better than the anime and the "fanservice" make it even more enjoyable.

What an insufferable manga.

Where do I even begin? Generic and annoying male leads. Yeah, that's a norm in manga, but these ones just grated me the wrong way. They have no personality besides "protect the damsel in distress" and it's especially hilarious that the original one dies and is replaced by his blonde clone almost immediately (and they both get cheated on/cucked by the same morally devoid bitch). Need that reader stand in I guess.

The Bonobo thing is literally there so the artist can write in GL scenes, which are EXTREMELY PROBLEMATIC. First off the FMC is totally in love with Shun, yet fucks her best friend who clearly has romantic feelings for her. Not only does the FMC have no problem with breaking her friends psyche doing this, she's betraying her "love" she has for Shun. She doomed that relationship before it ever (thankfully began). Then, the FMC fucks the 15 year old girl while she's 26. The FMC knows that it's built in her genes to want to do this, but doesn't tell the CHILD that and still goes through with it. This is after generic male lead #2 confessed to her so she ACTIVELY and KNOWINGLY cheated on him and kept it a secret as she never talks to him about it. Fucking amazing. Not only is the FMC an irredeemable cunt, she's a pedophile.

Then, to top it all off, generic male lead #2 is jealous of dead generic male lead #1 and wants to know who's more important to FMC. First off, fuck you dude for even wanting to know that. That was her "first and true love". What an inconsiderate bastard for even wanting to know that. She never gave #2 the time of fucking day when #1 was around and she wouldn't have chosen #2 if #1 was still alive. That should answer #2's question. He's a replacement. An inferior model that she had to settle on because the luxury model got totaled doing 80 on the freeway. #2 isn't good enough, he was never good enough, and he'd never be good enough.

Her female friend loves the FMC and is borderline obsessed with her, but just accepts that she has to leave and fuck some chump kid and drop out a kid? Wow. That's some real dedicated love right there. No way did she just settle for some whiney kid because she couldn't be with the FMC (and the annoying kid was TOLD he wasn't as good as the FMC. And he just, accepts that? He's okay with being second rate, like the weakling he is)

This manga tries to be romantic, but it's nothing of the sort. It's like the writer has no concept of what love is or how it works.
