Did the author put this manga on hiatus for a time? I know it is a spinoff from another work of hers.

Konogi sensei is drawing Eroko and Henjo alternately, thus when one is in publication, the other is paused. She used to draw both at the same time but after getting hospitalized for half a year in 2022, this decision was made out of concern for her health.

Yeah, I think a lot of mangaka underestimate the stress of doing two manga at once. A lot have tried it and given up after a while.

Hmm...OK so I don't wanna throw any shade at Eroko because I imagine she is good at what she does and always does her best. But if she single-handedly designed a system for her company and no one at the company is capable of maintaining it after her departure, then how is it any good? If anything, her code has poor readability if she's the only one that understands it or can understand it.

And if the company is too stingy to hire another engineer full-time to build an alternative system, then Eroko was their only option. Eroko made the company dependent on her by essentially sabotaging it. Not bad on her part, weirdly enough.

Thanks for the translation (oh yeah and I hope Eroko pops off on that bitch).

Something to clarify. The internal system was NOT a company property, but rather made on the spot by Eruko to lighten the workload she was pushed onto by her colleagues. She was under no obligation to make it friendly for others, it was only supposed to be used by her. Of course such an automation system is valuable to any company, so they had to make use of it, and they are forced to hire her back for maintenance as a result (Well technically they could pay more for a pro S.E but chose not to).
