I've been wondering this for a bit but does FL actually do anything aside from idealistically standing up for people every once in a while?

She's the only female member of her family who's active in high society, AND she's supposed to inherit the county, she should be really freaking busy?

She claims she'd eat filth to protect her family's honor but the main thing we've seen her do is marry ML and she was pretty half-assed about that the first time around.

Like yeah ML acted like a social climbing jerk but he's marrying into your broke ass matriarchal family with a successful business? Once he marries in that business will be at least sorta yours.
