Okay, one huge question: If he has a pair of swords that gives him advantage against beast type monsters over the 9000 lvl, why isn't he in the abyss leveling up? I don't mind the author giving the MC and his group a challenge, but it has to make sense. Especially if they're introducing an exp junky who definitely should have some knowledge about the most dangerous dungeon with the highest level monsters.

I imagine it's about 2 main reasons.
He started obsessing with leveling up only after a relatively recent event. So he have not spent years researching the best hunting spots.
And cause he is a foreigner he either don't know about that dungeon, or at least nobody was able to tell what there is in the deepest levels of it, they were basically unexplored. It's the reason why nobody ever reached Light's base. And so he heavily underestimated the strenght of the monsters in the deepest levels. He probably tought it's just one of many high level dungeons.

Seeing how those powerful humans are controlling everything from the shadows, even all the races, it's hard to believe that the group that sent one of their dragonewt agents to the abyss simply forgot about the most difficult and brutal dungeon. He even goes through the trouble of kidnapping humans and flying them over the ocean to catch prey, even though it's uncharted territory.
