As with many, many manga, the reach of the artist exceeds his grasp. He produces close-ups in which one struggles to discern of whom the close-up is, because the art more generally is too simple and too loose for things to be clear.

I mean, that's an opinion rather than any sort of fact. A bold claim, even. I'd counter to say the "one" being referenced is singular in nature. I don't have any problems telling the characters apart, and their expressions and hair are all intentionally distinct. Granted, this chapter is depicting characters seen occasionally throughout the past 100 chapters, but there's not much to be done about that.

Anyway, just wanted to say I'm totally here for all of Shino's buddha faces.

  • No, it's an empirical fact that would be borne-out by testing a large sample of readers. (That you'd have to see such a survey to recognize that fact makes it no less a fact.)
  • Tag or quote the person to whom you reply.

Some of the close-ups are too close-up for those to be very helpful. When pretty much all that is shown is an eye and a few strands of hair, the audience has to work consciously to figure-out whose fucking eye it is. The point that, with such work, most readers can figure it out is not a refutation.
