Saint is a reincarnator and in alot of these series the antagonist (Usually the OG heroine/Saintess/Whatever) is reincarnated and does unspeakable evils to people. A good example series of this is Chounin A wa Akuyaku Reijou wo Doushitemo Sukuitai , no I dunno why all these series always have the antagonist be a reincarnated person who is apparently as worse then most serial killers.

Ah, I was confused because you said "western grown people." I do agree that a vast number of the actual villains in these "villainess" mangas are the original protagonist, but my original point was that because they are the original protagonist of the "game" it is entirely possible and quite likely that they are under the mistaken assumption that they are merely "in the game" and that the world literally exists for them. If the world is just a game, why treat it any differently?

I've a feeling the sudden "marriage" of the Demon Lord is actually necessary...
Demon Lord + Lich transcends the shackles of Death and releases/reincarnates all those crystals of returned demon souls, repopulating the demon world. Very Myffical and Cycle of Life-ish.
The fact that this gives the humans a fat lip and set of black eyes is purely coincidental.. and, if done well, quite satisfying.

That explains why she collapsed, but the flower was different.
That was a visual pun of her worrying about losing her virginity, aka being deflowered.
Basically, she was feeling the relationship was going way too fast.

...It is also why Lady Alexia made that hand gesture, which means "sex".

Hear that? That's the sound of the foundation supporting the humans unraveling. The Saint is a schemer completely willing to stab her 'allies' in the back when she no longer needs them, the prince has abandoned his duties, and due to the Saint's backstabbing, the necromancer who was one of strongest weapons in the human's fight against the demons (if not the strongest) is now a lich fighting for the demons with an axe to grind. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, as a result of that the Demon king is back. Well done Saint.
