…clover won't be growing underwater, so that doesn't fix her immediate issue of drowning. She can simply consume a nitrogen-fixing plant, like clover. Problem solved.

I mean, it seemed like she could hold a pretty decent conversation with the Minotaurs and the Dragon, at least. She's had trouble speaking ever since she became an alraune. She ate that one plant that let her vocalize, but mimicking human speech with any degree of accuracy is still quite difficult for her.
It's not just a matter of only being able to say a few words at a time. It's more like being someone who knows a lot in their "native language", but only began learning English a few months ago, if that. The best she might be able to put together is "bad for you", which could be misunderstood in its own ways. Could she have said more than she did? Yes, but it's completely natural that there are going to be some communication problems between the two of them, given that situation that they're in.My point is that she can vocalize. So even if it takes some effort and is split into multiple bubbles, then that is exactly what she can do. Or, yknow, she could simply use a single word that explains everything even standalone: "addictive narcotics"
There is carbon dioxide and oxygen present in water, how do you think underwater plants breath? Oh, and she already consumed one, so skill acquired. Problem solved. Also, nitrogen-fixing depends on symbiosis with bacteria so as long as that bacteria is able to handle wet conditions, she should be good to go on that front too.…clover won't be growing underwater, so that doesn't fix her immediate issue of drowning.
She lived an entire life in that same country before she died. She knows the language. She did not turn into a monster and suddenly have to learn monster's languageI mean, it seemed like she could hold a pretty decent conversation with the Minotaurs and the Dragon, at least.

Don't worry, there isn't often a thought in that skull.Bald Eagle
I mean, don't forget she's barely spoken for like a year. Give her time to get used to talking again.Iris seems to have difficulty speaking in general - if you pay attention to which lines are actually being spoken and which ones are just her own internal thoughts, the former are limited to very short, simple statements, and even those are broken up into multiple speech bubbles in a way that suggests that they're coming out in a halting manner ("What a big... pond!" "I can use... this water!") which suggests that it takes a lot of effort to put them together and actually speak them. It seems like regressing back to a little baby toddler body has severely impacted her ability to properly communicate with others.
It's gonna be for a very looong time until they meet the assholey prince and his bitchy bitch, right?
I hope the author not dragging it out and when the time comes the author just go with 'the best revenge is living the best of your life, better than the one who hurt you.'It hasn't even happened in the WN yet (though it might be happening soonish).
I said it's like being someone who has to learn a new language, not that that's literally what happened. I was trying to come up with a real phenomenon that can be validly compared to "I used magic power to regress myself into a 3-year old", which isn't the easiest thing in the world. I guess now that I'm thinking about it harder, you could think of it like... a brain injury? One that specifically hit the speech center but left the rest of the prefrontal cortex relatively unharmed, so you can think as well as you always could, but have to re-learn how to speak. She lived an entire life in that same country before she died. I too remember every useless piece of information i received in my life.2. She reincarnated from earth, so even if she doesn't identify with that life anymore she should still know that.
Nitrogen is not an immediate issue for plants if you put them under water. For one thing they aren't going to run out of nitrogen so quickly, for another the nitrogen rich compounds they need are both water soluble and typically abundant if there are animals living in that water. Also the mc is a carnivorous plant, so she probably gets most of her nitrogen from meat.…clover won't be growing underwater, so that doesn't fix her immediate issue of drowning.
