Lol. I can remember as an introductory experience in the first days as a high school freshman, a used condom was found on the school cafeteria floor during lunch.
That uh, really drove it home this was a different environment than middle school had been.
And middle school did have its own stuff, like trying to prank friends by having them go to pen island .com. Trying to tell them about how it sold really cool custom order pens, and really hype the hell out of them, until they checked it out.
(Morgan Freeman voice: They did not sell pens at all. It was not a land of pens, but of something else entirely)
Funny enough I never actually checked out that "cool website for pens" myself, and even had assisted friends in hyping how cool they were. It was years later I suddenly realized what the website really was. How it was a haven for something these two characters in this story lack completely now.
(Seriously, you should clearly be able to understand the true name of that website by context. If you actually visit the site, you are probably a fool, unless you are into that sort of stuff)
And since I am on the topic of High School stuff:
If you are reading this now, you have lost the game. You had a good run I am sure, but now your streak is over.
For those confused
The game is simple. If someone mentions the game and you think of it, you lose. The goal is to not lose the game by not thinking about it. And when you do lose, to bring others down with you by making them think about it. Now that you understand the game, you have lost as well.
Anyways this was a pretty good chapter, with a good dynamic going. A soundproof room actually would be kinda cool, especially with some punching bags or something. A great place to get rid of stress and built up tensions. Not so cool for the couple that went into the wrong room next door that was not in fact soundproof.
