I'm getting the feeling that it'll turn out later that one of the two of them isn't actually human. Like, maybe Watari is actually a god or something that happened to be one the Earth when it was destroyed. She could have left to find something else, but she choose to stay with Ridley so that she wouldn't be alone. Something like that.

Ooo lore dump about their past.

Thanks for the works! But i would appreciate if you keep translating the chapter's title "Planet of ..."

its a doll
Yeah, it could be a planet that reliving someone's memories about non-living beings (like fairytale or toys)

Anw, Watari is so in love with Ridley ❤️

Yeah, seems like the "souls" of dolls/plushies, or manifestations of forgotten ones (like where the memory of them go, after they're forgotten, similar to the Planet of Summer in chapter 5). The rabbit says that they're Alice's friends, "and also of the same kind", so it's not just Ridley's repressed/forgotten memories.

It was a beautiful chapter.

Being able to read a chapter of this every month has definitely made my life better. Thanks for the chapter :D

If I had to guess what this planet is, I would guess that it the a world that Ridley dreamed about when she was a child. In other words, Alice, as well as the rest of the tea party people, are Ridley's imaginary friends. I think Ridley likely forgot about these dreams over the course of growing up.

The Japanese chapter title "の星" roughly translates to "planet of [something held within in the heart]"; it's kind of hard to explain the nuance in English, but the word expresses "carrying" something in your heart and caring for it deeply at the same time.

Also, goodness, Watari really likes Ridley. "Alice kinda looks like me. I think she really likes you." This is way too sweet.

Yup, definitly Planet of past memories or something like that. Probably Ridley used to read Alice in wonderland, imagining she could also find the rabbit hole and escape to a more happy world, playing with the characters of the book all day and such. Reality surely hit her hard enought to make her forget all about her childhood dreams and she buried those memories deep inside to become someone strong to survive whatever the Earth went throught that time-
