I think I know which one you're referring to and, iirc, that one wasn't cancelled so much as it was planned to run as short as it did to be an advertisement for the web novel.

I don’t usually like to criticize translations, because I sure as hell don’t know Japanese, but how hard is it really to get a native speaker to review the translation before using it? Like, proofreading isn’t hard, it doesn’t even take very long, I proofread documents for work all the time.

Anyway, story seems neat.
