As much as im liking this, i feel like this is just finalizing the "will they wont they" Amu and Ikuto relationship.
I mean we get an semi confirmation back in the last series at the end when amu was in the subspace with future Tadase when his Shugo Chara was talking past tense about amu like they havent seen her in an while meaning Tadase & Amu didn't end up together.

yeah i agree. i feel like they’re just stalling it because of the age gap. they would need to do a time skip to make it feel better but even that wont save it😭
