I don't know what it is, but I feel like there must be a German word for appreciating that sweet-sweet comeuppance that Sonya dished out just by washing her face.
This is just a theory but I think Observer and Swordmaiden both live in different countries. (Either that or the cities just each have insanely different cultures.)
Swordmaiden is in the city of Galaxis within (what I'm assuming to be) the country of Stellaris. Meanwhile Observer is being held in Shattered Lake Prison in the country of Blood Moon. Which would maybe(?) explain why Swordmaiden has a known mother which isn't something allowed in Blood Moon.
From silly stuff to sucky "forced anti racism" and now a crazy ass lore drop of how much that world is truly a twist smoke and mirrors illusion that battling to the death seems more free

This entire isekai is trying to subvert a bunch of isekai / fantasy tropes, and it's honestly working well in its favor. Even though there's not a whole lot of plot, the overall worldbuilding is pretty solid and fresh.

I’ve read the novel up to chapter 700+. I’ll keep the spoilers to a minimum, but the characters are separated by different worlds or realms (with different rules and laws yes), and you can only travel between them on special occasions.
Also this novel world view is a heavy mix of Utopia and Dystopia lol just be prepared on how messed up the Blood Moon Kingdom really is.
