Honestly, I think if the big guy had fought in an area with more improvised weapons and a better strategy -- he could've won. That first toss destroyed the first blade the guy had drawn so if he just kept depriving him of weaponry and taking advantage of his skills he'd be fine. Other dude was clearly going easy cause he likes to enjoy himself and drag out the fights.

I have noticed that Jack somehow can conceal his presence perfectly, unless you can see him, he can stay still in a corner and surprise anyone. This is a talent no character in the series talks about and that comes from experience, not from a gift of God or something like that.
