There’s a panel where Teru feels like the boys were staring at her, but it quickly switches to show that they were looking away the whole time. Small, but interesting expressive way to show Shy’s anxiety.

Also shrimp comments that it was rare for Spirits to drink to a stupor. Spirits was probably nervous and sad about breaking the news to Teru so she drank until she passed out to pull the bandaid as easy as possible.

After Shine’s passing, Teru must have been more anxious to interact with people because she feels partially responsible for her sister’s death. It’s stated that she wasn’t like this before; without a good support system, she probably spent the last three years wallowing in her self-hatred especially at such a young age. Teru really needed that hug.
