Ryuko in the "It's a good source of iron! CLANG!" panel on page 4 is the one that gets me.

Ryuko is so going to make sure he stays and takes care of her at work as her kouhai.

But too bad the manga didn't last long. The other normal girl, Aono was introduced so late that she didn't have any time to explore her character that much. But the focus on Ryuko was always a good thing for this story.
