With this manga's artstyle it's actually easy to forget Sakuragi is only a pretty normal 1.81, lol. Though since he's also a highschool freshman, he still has room to grow into Akagi-size at least.

I mean yeah, absolutely, which is why everyone was treating him like he's huge, but this chapter illustrates the difference between a 1.81 16-year old (tall for Japan) and a 2.01 16-year old (tall anywhere in the world).

And remember Slam Dunk was written almost 30 years ago now.
