So a bunch of rogue elements go about, scour the land for news about the Slayer, for whatever reason, and their method of acquisition is to hold down random villagers at gun point? That's hella dumb.
With tactics like that, they have a higher chance to get caught by the authorities than to get what they want. Why would they even expect a random shithead at the middle of nowhere would even know anything?
I didn't expect this story to stoop so low as to go with: "because it's convenient for the story."
