I think the author is just showing the kills that level him up, I don't think that each kill is leveling him up.(meaning there are tons of kills not shown between the level up kills)It's understandable that when he started from level 1, he gained levels fast by defeating the living armors, but now he's lvl 20+. yet he still levels up every time he beats one of them? They don't look one bit stronger than they were in the beginning, so I don't believe they are leveling up with him, to provide increasing difficulty. It sometimes feels like the manhwa (and manga) authors may have never played any games themselves, even though they keep making series relying, seemingly, on game mechanics.
from how the rest of the manhwa has shown these sorts of things i think it implies that there's timeskips between each panel and notification. so the first one he killed leveled him up once, then even if it shows him killing another one and getting another level up there may have actually been kills we didn't see inbetween that. It's understandable that when he started from level 1, he gained levels fast by defeating the living armors, but now he's lvl 20+. yet he still levels up every time he beats one of them?
