Thought it might be worth mentioning:
1. The word used that translates to 'Saint' in Chinese refers to a powerful divine being, not so much about holiness or kindness.
2. Non-humans in Chinese mythology can actually be split between 'Demons' and 'Devils'. Devils are similar to their Western counterpart but 'Demons' are not inherently evil. They're more like natural lifeforms that became powerful. E.g. Sun Wukong the monkey king being the most famous example.
