Spiritual platform: Not too sure how to translate '灵台' better than this
Wishes you to stand peerless under the ninth heaven, striking your sword in song: The chinese is '师姐预祝你独步九天，弹剑做歌'. This is a somewhat poetic sentence with some nuances. It's both a wish and a premature congratulations. The ninth heaven refers to the highest level of heaven, but it's more the concept of the very apex. The last part has some wordplay, it can be read as not just striking/wielding the sword, but also 'playing' it like an instrument.

It's been so long since we last saw the Senior Sister, I completely forgot there was a creepy spider geezer chasing her... not to mention her name.
Her name is Lin Lang. And am I the only one who thinks she might be into bigger trouble than she lets on? Leaving a message like this almost feels like a parting letter.

Sounds like Lin Lang's body was captured but her father managed to pull her soul away in time to keep her "alive". That's another senior sister, of sorts, in a sealed state! The sister from Gu She that oversaw Qu Chen's coma is still under that island.

Been reading to much Elder Scrolls lore. Starting to expect a blade like the Keening to show up, which was made from the sound when the moons Masser and Secundus eclipsed.
Made a point to actually read every book I pick up when replaying the games. Spent far to long trying to figure out the timeline for the previous dragon attack.
What I'm trying to say, is that with how this story is going, I should rerereread it again and it shouldn't be that hard to understand anymore. Not like these characters have 12+ different names like some ES characters.

Agreed. Her description about her body remaining in this world while her spiritual platform is like an isolated island sounds like nice way of saying that she needed to split the two in a hurry as a last resort, and also had to do something similar to save her mother.
It could be a deceptive cliffhanger where Lin Lang was merely describing her regret at not being able to help her mother escape in a more effective manner, but at least for now, her situation definitely doesn't seem good. And A-Ting doesn't think it does either.
I hope she's not. She's one of my favorite characters.
99% chances she is dead. Possibly, she died during her golden core tribulation while trying to escape endlessly. Since we have seen that such a tribulation is very hard to survive through when unprepared. Frankly, i saw this coming from very far away. She was never serious with her cultivation, and at the same time, she couldn't decide whether she was a mortal or an immortal. She went back and forth between the two worlds without a care, all the while A-ting and others were constantly struggling for their lives. Shit was always going to take a hold on her at one point.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kunlun itself was destroyed or heavily compromised during this war. Kunlun and Penglai both feel like rigid relics of the past, not fit for handling the present. Maybe, by the end, A-Ting will create a new Sect that gets rid of the old notion that the mortal and immortal worlds should not mingle with one another, and she will lead an effort to arbitrate and protect the mortal world. But for this to make sense, it could only happen once the spiritual energy draining situation is solved, because otherwise only descendants of cultivators can have a spiritual root, and the mortal world should be taken care of by its denizens. The story would probably need to adress this point and restore the old behaviour of humans being able to cultivate, too. And that is probably where her twin brother would be most relevant... But if he ascends, i am afraid the twins will never get to be together. They still haven't properly met at this point, aside from the 3 seconds they saw each other in the dead zone.
