That was a pretty sweet little ending actually. Wish Nagatoro ended like that. Speaking of, holy fuck, what's even left now of this generation of Romcoms that got popular in the first half of this decade? This is done, Nagatoro's done, Uzaki-chan's done, Komi's done, where does one hopeless romantic get his fix now?
Nagatoro at least got the bonus chapter that very much implied their future plans.

We still got Uzaki-chan actually still chugging along. There's also Anjou-san (both ships going strong and completely ignoring the annoying third-wheel "couple" for now) and Akutsu-san (which might also wrap soon, assuming the author returns from hiatus...)

Ah, what bittersweetness. Following this manga from start to finish was something else, one of the OGs that brought me into manga, and that's it. Oh my heart...

Well not the full on stereotypical, "ok final chapter after only a few chapters of them together so let's skip to marriage life", due to lack of kids as its a smaller timeskip and features a in-law family dinner. At least its wholesome ending and not sudden tragedy, like gramps being dead or such.

100% axe-kun got involved. Things got dragged out like crazy for over a year and then it sort of just ended?

The final chapter was good, but man I was hoping we'd see some more chapters of lovey-dovey stuff before it :boomer:

I knew it was coming man, but I don’t think anything could’ve prepared me for the end. It was an honor, fellas.

God, I hope they change the ending and filler in the anime. No offense but I feel we could have gotten the same development in their relationship in half the chapters it took. And the ending was certainly one of the endings of all time (you read that right). Like, it was ok I guess. I feel like if we got more than 3 chapters of them being a couple the ending would have felt more fulfilling as we get to watch their relationship grow. Here it felt like they got to the close friend but not dating step and just drug that on for an unbearable amount of time. You know it's bad when you go from eagerly waiting for each new release to skipping through pages not even reading looking for any type of development. But now that that rant is over let's look at what was done well. The art? Peak. Honestly, it's one of the best-looking mangas I've ever read. Without the filler, the story is great as well. It really had the potential to be a personal 10/10 but after waiting for all this time I'm just sitting here going "That's it?"

Personal score 7/10 due to pacing. Still a great read. But as someone who has been following since release this ending feels like a nothing burger.
