sarcasm aside, this was a bit of a filler chaper. we learnt nothing really new about the situation or Julius, but we did get a confirmation that he's older than he looks, which was hinted at earlier already

That guy telling her it won't be so bad marrying a 60 year old. If it's so grand, how about you marry him.

I get the feeling that Julius isn't just somewhat over 60, but a lot older. Also given the guy with an ambiguously long life seeking to fulfill a promise while looking at a picture, makes me think he knows the mc from the mc's past life, and that the promise is with the mc.
